As the name suggests, this clever leather slip-on shoe defies expectations. The Rogue's relaxed, footloose fit is shrewdly concealed under a guise of classic styling and rich aged leather, for covert comfort anywhere you roam.

Includes removable suede insoles. Sheepskin fleece insoles can be purchased separately.

Sizing note: The Regular width Rogue may feel snug at first. While the leather will stretch over time, you may consider going up a size. The Wide width is roomier and more likely to be true to your normal Softstar size.

Care Tips for Full Grain (smooth) Leather Shoes

Includes Sublime, Nova, Dublin, Highline, Torino, Shiny, LITE, Plonge, Aged, and Vegetable-Tanned Leathers

WHEN THEY FIRST ARRIVE:

Softstar Shoes are made from eco-friendly leathers tanned in the USA. Leather is a natural product and some variation in texture and hide markings is to be expected. Because we use leather colored with non-toxic food grade dyes, there will likely be some initial color transfer to your socks or skin if your shoes become damp. This will decrease with use, but we don't recommend wearing your new Softstars with your favorite white socks the first time you take them for a spin.

If your shoes are a little snug at first in the toe box area, you can gently stretch them by stuffing the toe box with a dry cloth. Push the cloth tightly into the front of the shoe and let sit stuffed overnight to stretch. Do not use a damp cloth as the water can stain the leather or innersole of some leather types, rendering it non-returnable.

MAINTENANCE:

Most full grain leather we use is naturally water resistant, but our special vegetable-tanned leather (available only by custom selection on some of our design-your-own shoes) and Colorado leather are "naked" leathers and will stain from water alone. You can clean shoes as needed with water dampened cloth and let air dry, but please note if you do this on vegetable-tanned or Colorado leather then you will need to wet/stain the entire shoe to avoid water marks. Condition the leather as often as desired with any quality leather dressing, but be careful to keep it away from the edges of your rubber soles. Do not use mink oil on your shoes, as it can degrade the adhesion on bonded soles and cause the sole to separate from your shoe over time. We highly recommend Bee Natural Amore for general conditioning or Rain & Snow or Nikwax Full Grain Waterproofing on smooth leather for enhanced water resistance. The color on shiny metallic shoes will eventually patina with use into an antique wear look, which can be accelerated with repeated use to water and high wear (e.g. scuffing toes).

WASHING:

We do not recommend frequent washing of any leather product as it strips the leather of it's natural oils and tends to dry stiffer. For all of our leathers (except vegetable-tanned) you can clean by hand with a damp cloth, or if needed you can hand wash your leather shoes using a gentle shampoo and cool water. Let them air dry. Do not attempt to dry your shoes by exposing them to high heat, such as a clothes dryer, a hair dryer or by leaving them on a radiator or next to a fire. Doing so may damage leather or rubber soles.

We are often asked if our shoes can be washed in a washing machine. While not recommended as a normal course of action, when in dire straits the Elves have been known to toss a pair of shoes in the machine and generally have had good results. Just don't mix them with any other item because of color bleeding. Shoes with sheepskin can take 3-4 days to air dry if fully submerged in water, but you can speed up the drying by stuffing with old newspapers and replacing the paper twice a day.

Care Tips for Suede and Nubuck Shoes

WHEN THEY FIRST ARRIVE:

Softstar Shoes are made from eco-friendly, tanned in USA leathers. Leather is a natural product and some variation in texture and markings is to be expected. Because we use natural food grade dyes in our leather, there will likely be some initial color transference to your socks or skin if your shoes become damp. This will decrease with use, but please do not wear your new Soft Stars with your favorite white socks the first time you take them for a spin!

If your shoes are a little snug at first across the top of the toes, you can gently stretch them by stuffing the toe box with a slightly damp rag. Push the cloth tightly into the front of the shoe (don't worry, you won't hurt it). Let the stuffing sit in the shoes overnight to stretch the leather.

MAINTENANCE:

Use a suede brush to remove dirt. You can also choose to use a suede/nubuck leather care product to protect against stains and water absorption (we recommend Nikwas Nubuck & Suede Proof). While not necessary, it will help keep your shoes looking new over time. Do not use generic leather care products on suede, but only those specifically formulated for suede. Products for full grain or smooth leather will be too oily and may permanently darken and mat suede fibers. Please do not use mink oil on any Softstar shoes as it will mat the fibers of our natural leather and will break down the adhesive soling on styles that have bonded soles.

WASHING:

We do not recommend frequent washing of any leather product because it will strip the leather of it's natural oils and cause it to dry stiffer. When a suede brush is not enough, you can use a damp cloth or hand wash your suede shoes with a gentle shampoo and cool water, then let them air dry. Do not attempt to dry your shoes by exposing them to high heat, such as a clothes dryer, a hair dryer or by leaving them on a radiator or next to a fire. Doing so may damage leather or rubber soles.

We are often asked if our shoes can be washed in a washing machine. While not recommended as a normal course of action, when in dire straits the Elves have been known to toss a pair of shoes in the machine and generally have had good results—just don't mix them with any other item because of color bleeding. Be sure to give your wet shoes ample time to air dry. Shoes with sheepskin can take 3-4 days to air dry if fully submerged in water, but you can speed up the drying process by stuffing them with old newspapers and replacing the paper twice a day.

Care Tips for Sheepskin Boots

Softstar Phoenix boots are made from genuine, high quality sheepskin.

While genuine sheepskin is incredibly cozy and beautiful, it is also delicate and will stretch under strain. When wearing your Phoenix boots, use care to avoid stepping off the back or sides of your heels while you walk as doing so repeatedly can affect the shape of the boots and alter the way they fit. The best way to prevent this is by insuring you purchase the correct size. For adults, we recommend selecting a boot size that fits very snugly at first, as they will stretch over time. For children, growing room is important, so a little extra space is recommended. If possible, have your kids wear their boots the first few times on dryer days to give them time to form to their feet.

The boot uppers are made from eco-friendly leathers that are tanned in the USA. Our leather hides are natural products and some variation in texture and markings is to be expected. If you need to clean your boots, wash gently by hand with a damp cloth and let them air dry.

Condition the leather as often as desired with any quality leather care product, but take care not to get any oils on the edges of the rubber soles. Mink oil, specifically, will degrade the sole adhesion and can lead to separation of soling over time—we do not recommend the use of mink oil anywhere on our boots, as it can eventually seep down to the sole. For general conditioning we recommend Bee Natural Amore, For enhanced moisture protection we recommend Bee Natural Rain and Snow or Nikwax Full Grain Waterproofing. Be careful to use these products only on the smooth leather portion of the shoes and not on the suede cuffs (leather care products designed for the full grain leather uppers may permanently darken suede). It is not necessary to apply a suede protectant or waterproofing to the cuffs, but doing so may help keep that portion of the boot looking clean. If you do choose to add extra protection to the suede, be careful to use a product specifically made for suede leather.

Sheepskin boots can take 3-4 days to air dry if fully soaked with water. You can speed up the drying process by stuffing the boots with old newspapers and replacing the paper twice a day. If they become this wet, be very careful to avoid wearing them again until fully dry because the leather will be more susceptible to stretching and the fit may alter. Do not attempt to dry your shoes by exposing them to high heat, such as a clothes dryer, a hair dryer or by leaving them on a radiator or next to a fire. Doing so may damage leather or rubber soles.

I’m wearing my beautiful brown Rogues as I write. I hope they last forever. I wanted them primarily to serve as my house slipper/shoe, and they fit that role perfectly for me., but the gorgeous soft leather and craftsmanship make them suitable for anywhere. I have a long, wide foot for a woman; I’m also old enough to have put my feet through a lot, including occasional injury with consequent arthritic pain. These are terrifically comfortable and also very good for my balance. I ordered them in wide and love the toe room. I’ll put sheepskin insoles in as the weather gets colder. Love them!

    Just ordered second pair

    Rating

I have several different styles of softstar shoes and have worn them exclusively for several years. My first pair was the Rogue (which I dyed red), but the toe shape never really worked for my wide foot - so on to others, including the Primal Run Amok, which became my favorites. When the new Rogue, with the wider toe box and gorgeous deep red color, was offered, I snapped it up. After wearing it daily for the last six weeks, and being aware that too often color choices change, I decided to buy a second pair (you can never have too much of whatever it is that makes you smile in the mornings). Maybe a little silly, but now I have a pair in reserve, just in case or when my current pair wears out....

    Back for another pair :-)

    Rating

I ordered my first pair of Rogues a little over 4 years ago and have worn them from fall through spring every year. The soles show very little wear, but the shoes themselves have really stretched with use. For my first pair, I followed the original sizing instructions (sized up one size) and they fit perfectly out of the box. This time though, knowing how much I wear them and how active I am, I suspected I’d do better with my normal size—and lucky me, there was a pair on Clearance! These are starting out comfortably snug and the footbed is more accurate to the length of my stubby feet. As usual, I will order the optional fleece insoles once the weather cools. Thank you Softstar!
  5. Wow! New favorite shoes

Great quality! Super comfortable. I love this shoe! Wore them to a business dinner last night and have them on in the office at work right now. Ordered the wides in my normal shoe size and they are perfect. Blown away buy the quality and how fast they shipped to me in Chile! Great company and excellent product

    Great shoes

    Rating

I was quite surprised at how wide/flat the Rogues were when I first received them. I realized after much trying that I should have ordered a regular size 8, instead of the wide, as I seem to have misunderstood your sizing description. I understand that sizes may vary depending on the style of the shoe and their use. I was shy to return them for an exchange thinking of the environmental cost. Still the shoes themselves are great! Easy to wear and slip on, it’s just that I must be careful not to trip. They will be better with thick socks. Except that defeats the purpose of these heavenly light slip-ons. Recently I received my size 8 regular Moc 3’s and I love them!! I currently own several pairs of SoftStars, but in the future will try to be more careful with sizing.

    Response from store

Note from the Elves: Thanks Barbara! Don't be shy about returning/exchanging - that is often needed with footwear, although we love your consideration of the environmental impact.
  7. LOVE

    Rating

I have been looking for a long while for a pair of shoes that are “quick to slip on,” “comfy,” “on the go around the house.” The prior shoe was a croc. I wanted to replace them for so long but could not come to grips on anything meeting the convenience of a croc. THESE ARE IT. They are so comfy, easy to slip on and off, simple. I wear them to go around my farm. I wear them while working out in my home gym. I wear them for convenience. I could care less about the waterproofing a croc has, these are my everyday! BONUS: They fit my wide feet. I get everything Softstar offers in wide, and these fit that bill I really needed to be able to wear these, hence why some other similar options were not options for me, I needed the wide. So comfortable for my surgically altered, wide set feet. MUST HAVE!

    Most Comfortable Shoe EVER!

    Rating

I purchased the Softstar Rogue in brown. Taking note of the fact that they say it runs short in the regular width, I opted for my normal size in Wide. I really think that either this or going up to the next size in regular would have worked for me. These have the widest toe box of any shoe I've ever purchased. That being said, I am glad I opted for the wide, as this gives me the option to wear toe spacers inside of the shoe. The leather is soft and conforms to your foot. The neoprene lining helps smooth it out, but you can still see where your toes are in the shoe. The other thing the lining does well though is keeps the shoe securely in place. I don't slip in these at all. The leather footbed is very comfortable. I have worn these with thin socks and without socks. Given the "winter" we are having, I have worn them in temperatures ranging from 20 to 55 degrees F and have been comfortable the whole time. I believe they may be warm in summer, but I often go barefoot at home and just slip something on to go out, so I believe these will work great year-round. Quality of materials and workmanship are amazing! The Rogue looks dressy because of the leather, but they feel like a slipper when you wear them. I can easily wear these casually or at the office. Thank you, Elves, for the most amazingly comfortable shoe ever!

    "Regular" versus “Wide”

    Rating

Please note, the Rogues in "Regular" size have a conical toe box, tappered to the toes. (And except for Switchbacks, most Softstars that are not in the "Primal" range have this conical toe box.) On the other hand, as indicated in their description, the Rogues in the "Wide" version have the "Hybrid Wide" soles, which are practically the same as the Primal Wide, and there we have all the space for the fan of the toes <3. And they have very soft leather and soles. (Too bad we can't find the wide Rogues and Switchbacks by clicking on the "Primal" range.) And I'll add that Softstar's customer service is great, the fastest shipping (and returns and refunds) I've ever seen!

    comfy but a little weird

    Rating

They feel like slippers more than shoes. I understand that they are "minimal" (which are the only kind of shoes I wear but these were my first from Soft Star) but it's a little weird to see the outlines of your toes sticking up through the leather. To be frank, part of the purpose of wearing shoes is so nobody else has to look at your toes. They are also a bit tight ... perhaps I should have gone a size up to 9 but I have never in my entire life had to buy a 9 because usually a 9 is like an entire inch too long.

  14. Exceptional casual footwear

    Rating

These have been my primary cool weather shoe for 9 years, since fall 2014. They're great indoors too; I'm wearing them as I type this. I'm back for a replacement pair because the tread has finally worn slick. The Vibram soles appear low-density, more like a mid-sole cushioning material that i expected to last a couple years; they proved surprisingly durable. The leather is in fairly good condition. Our winter air is quite dry; most seasons I remember to apply some Lexol leather conditioner. And the neoprene seems fine too, maybe a bit "polished" and less elastic than when new. I may check with a cobbler to see whether resoling would be worthwhile. (Would also have them redo the stitching that has worn away at the big toe.) I wear size 10U Dash RunAmoc, size M9 Chacos. I started with 10U regular width Rogues, but they were too short on the toes, had to return for 11U. They fit me well in socks, so they're of course somewhat floppy on my bare feet, which is how i usually wear them. It's fine for non-athletic purposes. I wanted some minimal/barefoot aspects like no-rise and light weight. These don't have a wide toe box, but they fit my feet that spent most of my life in traditional footwear. For minimalist shoes they're fairly cushy. My concept of ground-feel means my foot getting bruised by a rock--the cushioning helps make that infrequent. For venturing into the woods, I would want something more protective/rigid-soled than these Rogues. Rogues are flexible and take up little space packed. Recently I inline-skated around town with them in one hip pocket for going indoors. Rogues have no heel-cradling shape; the "heel box" is just vertical sides up from the outsoles' edges. Combined with the slip-on design that isn't snug around the ankles, it's easy for your heel to wander off-center, leading leather to contact the ground. For me this is the case particularly in a car with my foot on the gas pedal. So, the leather may receive some abuse, but it has held up remarkably well. Most scuffs easily buff out. I've spent about equal time in suede insoles (included) and sheepskin (used to be included). With the sheepskin, they're quite warm yet surprisingly breathable. When i wear socks, it's mainly to keep my ankles warm. But Rogues are still not breathable or cool enough for me in warm, humid weather, even with the suede insoles.

    Great Shoe

    Rating

Ordered the wide width/primal friendly Rogue in the same size as my Primal Run Amoks, which I have practically lived in. The Rogue was not love at first step like the Run Amok was, but after a few weeks of regular wear they have molded to the shape of my feet and are really great. In my corner of the world we live in muddy barn boots ten months of the year and the expectation is when you go visiting you leave your boots at the door and change into slippers or indoor shoes. I love that I can just slip into my Rogues, and they are so flexible and light I can stuff them in a pocket of my backpack.

    Great shoe!

    Rating

I’ve had these a few months and wear them almost everyday. I love the easy slip on style and they are incredibly flexible and soft. They almost make me feel like I’m cheating and wearing house shoes to work. ???? Time will tell how they hold up, but so far they show very little wear. I do work in an office and primarily wear them inside, so I haven’t tested them rigorously. In summary. I’m a fan and would buy them again.
  19. The perfect work shoes

    Rating

I work in a warehouse/office. Dress is casual and my rogues are the perfect shoe for this environment. No laces to get caught on pallets in the warehouse and they feel like slippers. These might not work if the warehouse had heavy equipment, but ours is just a shipping warehouse, so no need for steel toed boots.
  20. A conflicted review; love the shoe, but need them to be repairable

    Rating

My spouse has made it to almost three years of rather heavy wear before they've worn a hole through the sole. I've read that these shoes don't allow for a typical re-soling, so now we're exploring a patch. They've been very comfortable and, at this point, cost per use is very low. We just don't want to completely throw them out since they're overall in really good shape.
  21. One Year Later

    Rating

I previously submitted a review of these shoes on July 1, 2022. As I noted before, the soles of the shoes are wearing down. I haven't worn a hole completely through them yet but the part of the shoe that is below my front foot pad and the part below my heel are both getting quite thin. This is really too bad. The shoes are holding together still. Everything else about them is still great. They continue to be comfortable. The uppers are still in great shape even though I've worn them every day for over a year now. I still go hiking, biking, and walking in them. They're starting to look a little faded but I imagine that if I polished them, they'd still shine beautifully. I still highly recommend these shoes. I'm at a 4 star (though I'd give it 4.5, if I could) because of the soles. It seems like a pretty expensive shoe to wear through this quickly (I've been averaging about 200,000 steps per month over the last year, FYI). I'll check back in next year and provide an update.
  22. Slippers, shoes? both

    Rating

These are comfortable like the nicest slippers you have ever worn, and with the Vibram sole I can use them outside. Nice and wide in the toe area, a good choice to help the transition if you're moving to wide toe-box running shoes. With a sheepskin insole, these are the bomb! I wear these more than any other pair of shoes I own.

    NOT barefoot/minimalist, narrow toe box

    Rating

This review is based solely on the barefoot qualities, not craftsmanship. If you care about having healthy feet and splayed toes then these are not for you. I love Primal RunAmocs and Sawyers and have several pairs of each but I had to return these. I could tell the toe box was smaller than primals by the pictures but it was far worse in person. The toe box is way too narrow thus this is not a barefoot or minimalist shoe. These are even more narrow than the chukkas. Having a proper toe box is the most important barefoot quality, and this is sorely lacking in that department. It was so bad I can't imagine the toe box being wide enough even if I went 3 or more sizes higher than what I wear with Primal RunAmocs and Sawyers. It is sad that the company that sells the best barefoot shoes on the market allows their other models to have such awful toe boxes. In Jan 2021 I sent an email to Softstar asking them to sell safety toe shoes or boots for those of us that need them for work, this was their response. "Unfortunately, a steel toe design would not align with our goals for the flexible, minimalist footwear that we make. All of our shoes are made with soft leather uppers and flexible soles intended to instill a barefoot-like feel. I apologize we aren't able to accommodate this request, but we appreciate your message and hope you are able to find a solution that works for you." They aren't willing to offer safety toe shoes even though there is nothing stopping them from selling a safety toe shoe or boot with zero drop, no arch support, no toe spring, is as flexible as the safety toe allows, and most importantly has a wide toe box, but they do not offer a proper toe box on these. Very hypocritical. Over two years later and there is only one safety toe barefoot style boot on the market, but it is over $1000 and not even made in the USA, though it has better barefoot qualities than these and their chukkas.

    Response from store

Note from the Elves: Hello Austin - we make many styles of shoes to meet customer needs, and not all customers want or need a primal toe box. Just as you prefer the wider primal shape, we have many other customers who prefer the Rogue, Chukka and Roo shapes. What is a healthy shape for you can be swimmingly too wide for someone else whose foot is a different shape. Health is not a single size.

With regards to a steel toe boot - we agree this would be awesome to offer and have prototyped several pairs. We learned that our soft, flexible construction methods do not pair well with a rigid, heavier toe box in terms of function (tripping) , comfort OR durability. Designing new shoes takes a lot of time and investment. Just popping a steel toe on a boot sounds easy, but we have not found that to be the case, especially for an important PPE regulated item of clothing.

These are my favorite work shoes. I work 24-hr shifts in a hospital and spend a lot of time on my feet. I’ve been wearing them for the past 3+ years, and these are the only shoes that don’t cause back pain after a few hours. Just got on here to buy a new pair and was a bit sad to see they don’t come with sheepskin anymore. I’ll try them without but will prob end up buying the sheepskin inserts separately.

    Comfy

I bought a size up as recommended and they fit well. I've had them for a few months and wear them almost all the time. I really enjoy the lining of the shoe, makes my foot feel more secure. The insole feels more than what is typical for a Soft Star shoe, but I like it. The leather might be stretching out a little bit I don't think it will affect the fit. I like the brown. I'm not sure if I would have gotten another color if there were more available. It is a rather boxy shoe and doesn't feel very feminine, but they keep my feet warm without the bulk of a boot.

Love the shoe although they do stretch out

I love having both a pair of black and a pair of brown...but I found the leather stretches out when I wear them with socks of varying thickness. I read about the sheepskin inserts and will try that as a workaround, BUT if that doesn't work, I might order doubles of each; I'm not keen on lace-ups.

After an exchange i got the right length of the footbed...but the leather stretches out and then i have to use the sheepskin for the best fit. it's nice for easy on and off, but i ended up buying the chukka which can lace up and fit better throughout the year with different weight socks.

I have one black and one brown. They are my daily work shoe. I need to wear dress paints and shirt every day and these fit right in. Could be a little dresser but the trade off is comfort. Just can't find a wingtip in minimum shoe for a reasonable price. Long time softstar user. ten pairs from Primal RunAmoc to these. I will keep coming back

I had a pair of moccasins from SoftStar that I’d purchased ~10-12 years ago. I loved them. A couple years later, I bought a 2nd pair. A year ago I was devastated to discover they no longer made those moccasins. Then I received an email about these shoes and I bought a pair. I love them just as much as the original moccasins. More so because the sides aren’t open. These are comfortable shoes that make walking feel as if you’re barefoot.

    So comfy

    Rating

These shoes are just so comfy. I did end up getting a shoe that's two sizes larger than my foot measurement suggested I should (instead of one size larger, as is recommended). The shoe that was one size larger was too snug on my toes for my comfort. Let me tell you though, the shoes I ended up with are amazingly comfortable. I wear them everyday as my only outdoor pair of shoes. I have gone hiking in them, biking in them, walking through wet grassy fields with them.... They're great shoes. P.S. I've had mine for about a month now. The soles are scuffing noticeably at the toes and the heel (maybe because my shoe size is ever so slightly larger than my foot). I am a little worried that the soles of these shoes will give out before I want to have to buy new shoes. But we'll see what happens (I'll try to come back and update this review next year and see where we are). The shoes get dirty from outdoor use (I have the black variety) but it wipes off with a rag. Other than those two things I can't see any fault in the shoes. P.P.S. Softstar is amazing. Full stop.

    Not for me

I absolutely love my Moc3s for running! I keep wanting to love SoftStar as my everyday shoe, but alas, experience the same issue - heel strike. WIth running, contact occurs fore/midfoot. Walking gait pattern occurs with a heel strike. I had hoped the Rogues with a little more material in the sole may work, but still find too jarring. Perhaps I am unique in this sense? The Rogue is a beautiful shoe I will have to admire from a distance.

Note from the Elves: Thanks Paul for your review. Have you read Michael Sandler's book Barefoot Walking? I also struggled with same issue until I read this book - hope it is helpful. http://runbare.com/barefoot-book-overview

I originally bought these for my husband. He has Parkinson’s and these looked easy to put on. They worked like a charm. Then I realized they were exactly what I wanted. No strings to come untied. No irritation against my bunions. Soft and comfortable. I love them.

I have never enjoyed shoes this much!

I bought these just in time for the cold and snow, not for use as dress shoes but mostly as a reliable runabout for the cold, wet season. I also have the Primal RunAmoc. I like these better for everyday use especially this time of year because they are so darn easy to slip on and off plus they are warmer. Amazingly light weight as well. With the sheepskin insole, the Rogues keep my feet warm even down to below freezing and in snow that is less deep than the top of the shoe. I waterproofed them before using them outdoors and, so far, my feet have remained dry in this west coast weather. They have surprisingly good traction on all outdoor surfaces including snow. The sole is not as dense as the Omniflex or Megagrip, but is light and spongy which gives the shoe a great feel for the ground. and a little more give on pavement or other hard surfaces. I slip these on to go feed the ducks, let them out, put them in for the night, bring in firewood, get the mail, and so on. They are a delight for this purpose, and do just fine in the rain and snow. They are secure enough to sprint in on a wet grassy field but are not at home on uneven terrain, such as a singletrack trail up a mountain, which I tried recently with them. I would suppose that trail running would be out of the question. Otherwise they are amazingly versatile and oh so comfortable. I'm used to it now but for awhile I felt naughty for putting what felt like luxurious slippers on to go outside in the rain or to shovel snow. Not too shabby for a dress shoe!

I have Rogues in brown and black but would love to have some fun colors available to choose from as well. They are just like slippers with the sheepskin insoles but I can wear them anywhere. I didn’t size up and they are just fine. I wear my correct toes with mine so my toes will spread more. They stretched out to accommodate them. So comfy, like gloves for your feet.

NEW FAVORITE SHOE PLEASE MORE COLORS!!

    Rating

OH MY GOODNESS after years of wearing ONLY Softstar shoes I cannot believe I'm just now wearing the Rogue. It is absolute HEAVEN. I usually wear the Ballerines or the Run Amocs. The boots are also great. Literally a day doesn't go by that I'm not wearing one of these models. However after two days of my new Rogues. OMG. I am just SO SO SAD that there aren't prettier colors! If I could custom design colors these it would be a dream. These are so soft, so flexible, they're like wearing comfy slippers that work on any terrain. My husband has had his pair for two weeks and won't take them off. A lot of info said to size up so I did -- but it didn't work for me. I'm typically a solid 8U so ordered the 9U, they were huge. Changed for the 8U which fits perfectly. Please let us have more color choices!!!

    Rating

I was looking for a good house shoe. Something I could slip on and off but also something that would work to run out to get the mail or the trash cans, maybe a quick run to the store every once in a while. These are perfect. You can 100% wear them as a slipper with the heel folded down and they are very secure with the heel up (I was wearing them while throwing the football the other day). I did find the fuzzy (sheepskin fleece) insoles to be too warm but the sued ones are very nice and after almost a year of near daily use I have yet to notice any foul smell. I can wear them all day while working at home with very little sweat or overheating. I typically wear them without socks and my feet can slide in and out without disturbing the insole. I sometimes wear them out with socks and jeans and they never look too casual. I wish I would have bought these earlier, its so rare to have something work exactly as I had hoped. I have nothing bad to say about them.
