Soft Star fans have been requesting a more "boyish" option for their moccasins and shoes.

Here are a few options we are considering - what is your vote?

Plane - Rocket Ship - Car - Truck

Update: Thanks for the great comments! I certainly did not mean to offend anyone with positioning these as "boyish" motifs - certainly these motifs work great for all. As a parent I always try to avoid gender stereotyping but this was a good reminder to me. The first sentence should have read: "...fans have been requesting more options..." My apologies!

    My son and I liked all of the cutouts but would say the space ship was our favorite if we have to pick just one. Very excited you are considering more boy cutouts.

    I like all of them, but the rocket ship is my favorite. I think my son would pick the car or the truck.

    Reading the label "Moccasins for Boys" was like getting punched in the gut. Why? Why? Why? There is NOTHING gendered at all about these at all. This is hurtful.

    Interesting enough, my 3years old daughter looked at them all and said she wants the rocket with the star for herself...my son wasn't quite capable to communicate his thoughts...

    Son (4) and I both love the rocket best. Of course, this means another pair of Soft Stars in our near future!! Might I also add the suggestion that the Youth Ramblers come in more colors than brown/black and pink/brown (standard, rather than as a special order)? As far as I can tell, they're the only older-child shoe on the market with the same soft but durable soles that our littles' feet have grown accustomed to. A pair of blue/light blue youth ramblers with a rocket-ship cutout? Oh my. Boy shoe heaven.

    We prefer the rocket ship, and I'd choose it for my daughter. Is there "girlish" or "boyish" motif?!

    I think the rocket ship is awesome, and it still incorporates that perfect little star my daughter loves so much on her boots. Plus, I could see little girls wanting moon voyage ramblers, too...

    I think the truck - it's clear what it is and although the car is simpler to cutout which will make it cheaper, it's not as precise as the truck. As a guy I vote TRUCK!

    My 3.5 yr old said he would like a Train or a Tractor. Of the 4 choices above, he was not partial to any of them. I do like the rocket, myself.

    These are great designs. But I have to say, it seems a bit retrograde in 2009 to identify all these fun vehicles with only boys. Female people can also drive trucks and cars, and pilot planes and rocket ships. And girl children can enjoy these images. Please catch up with your smart, progressive customers! Thanks for thinking about this as you choose your new beautiful designs.

    I honestly don't think most people will take offense at your comment. Nobody's suggesting that girls can't wear shoes with car or rocket ship cutouts on them, for heaven's sake. It IS frustrating to go to a shoe store and find lots and lots of pink and glitter and frill but nothing for "boys" except brown. So I appreciate the extra options! (BTW, I love the rocket and star the best.) :)
