Martin is a lifelong runner who began wearing minimalist shoes over 10 years ago when he found they alleviated his chronic foot pain, which eventually disappeared completely. He further studied proper running form through a series of workshops taught by Correct Toes inventor, Dr. Ray McClanahan DPM. Martin has collaborated with several health care professionals to collect and share peer-reviewed studies that show the benefits of minimalist footwear. In his personal life, Martin loves living in the Pacific Northwest because it allows him to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities year-round, including hiking, cycling, rock climbing, surfing and snowboarding.
At REI, I would get hiking boots and a tent.
From soft star shoes, I could get multiple pairs of shoes to wear for all occasions!
I have a long list of desires for Soft Star so I'd be getting myself some shoes. Might consider something for the kids ;-) Oh! and I need some winter boots- this would be a great chance to order some winter boots!
For REI, I think I'd get stuff for camping- we are not well supplied for the low temperature camping that we end up doing with the Boy Scouts. Plus, we're moving to the Netherlands next and I really really need to get myself some rain gear, plus some for the kids. The kids have rain jacket and rain pants on their lists of required supplies!
