Elf Martin

Martin is a lifelong runner who began wearing minimalist shoes over 10 years ago when he found they alleviated his chronic foot pain, which eventually disappeared completely. He further studied proper running form through a series of workshops taught by Correct Toes inventor, Dr. Ray McClanahan DPM. Martin has collaborated with several health care professionals to collect and share peer-reviewed studies that show the benefits of minimalist footwear. In his personal life, Martin loves living in the Pacific Northwest because it allows him to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities year-round, including hiking, cycling, rock climbing, surfing and snowboarding.

I would consider getting a pair of DIY Mary Janes in bright colors, because all my Soft Stars seem to be brown. Then I would let my husband and two boys pick out a new pair for themselves as well. From REI . . . I might get a collection of hats and mittens and donate them to local schools in which there are a great number of underserved children in need of adequate winter clothing or sporting equipment for recess.

Oh my, some of our family's favorite things together in one prize! I would get shoes for my munchkins who won't wear any shoes other than SoftStars, :) and a new air mattress and tent to replace our leaky, holey ones we are limping along with. Thanks for the opportunity!

When I saw this giveaway in my emails, I knew had to enter. This could make such a difference in my life. I have one pair of Soft Star winter boots that I've had for several years and I would dearly love a year round pair... most probably the chukkas. I've also been wanting to introduce my husband to Soft Stars as they've been on his wish list for awhile. I'm dreaming of the healthy, comfortable shoes I could get for my body which has broken down so badly due to a rare genetic disorder. In fact, Soft Star is one of the very few brands that even fit me anymore as my feet have changed due tendons are losing their ability to hold my foot stable as they should. My feet are growing wider because of it, in addition to the pain and instability. Adding to that, with my husband's support, I've been actively pursuing ways to get outside, despite having become disabled. It's something I've always wanted to do - even before my health changed - but never had that opportunity. So, I literally have the chance to make a long-held dream come true, in the midst of the most unlikely time in my life. If I can do this now, despite the many physical limitations I'm dealing with when I wasn't able to prior, it would mean so much more! It goes beyond attempting to "regain" a piece of my life to forging forward doing something new that I've wanted to since I was a child. Accomplishing camping and bushcraft now, in my current capacity, would be such a victory. Your giveaway would literally help this become reality. Thanks so much, Guys, for re-encouraging me with this giveaway that something unexpected could come along at any time to help with the logistics. Reigniting this passion will help me continue to press on and live in hope. I'm truly grateful.

I would buy gear I need for an adventure! What a wonderful prize, we both need hiking boots and survival gear so this would be quite a blessing for us. It's something we have been wanting for a long time.

I have several pairs of soft star shoes. They are my favorite! More, with more colors... hmmm... I'd love that. And I can 'clash' the colors with the REI gear and celebrate color and outdoors in 'original' style. Yes!

I`d take my SSS and tent to Glastonbury, camp with my friend at Paddington farm and visit the Tor, like I did before with my dashes. Love SSS for hiking, for everything actually ;-)
