Martin is a lifelong runner who began wearing minimalist shoes over 10 years ago when he found they alleviated his chronic foot pain, which eventually disappeared completely. He further studied proper running form through a series of workshops taught by Correct Toes inventor, Dr. Ray McClanahan DPM. Martin has collaborated with several health care professionals to collect and share peer-reviewed studies that show the benefits of minimalist footwear. In his personal life, Martin loves living in the Pacific Northwest because it allows him to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities year-round, including hiking, cycling, rock climbing, surfing and snowboarding.

Of all the shoes I own Soft Stars are my go-to favourites, so I'd love to grab a few extra pairs. And an insulated jacket from REI would come in handy. Thanks for the competition! Love your work! :)

If I win I would go shopping, so that I could take my family camping!! I am a single mom to 4 teenagers and unfortunately camping is something we have not had the funds to do often, so winning wiuls be amazing!!

I would surprise my hubby with a pair of runamocs and camping gear so that we can finally go camping as a family (he's been wanting to for years!), a new pair of shoes for each of my little kids, new shoes for someone in need, and hopefully a pair of black boots that I've been eyeing for years! I need something to keep my feet warm in the winter. =) Thank you for such a wonderful opportunity!

I use my soft stars for everything: in clinic, at the grocery store, and now for running in the park! I can feel my calves and other newly exercised muscles getting stronger each day!!

I would share part of this with my family. We love Soft Star Shoes. I would also get a new pair myself. They are about all I wear when it comes to shoes. I wear them for work, for biking, for walking and for hiking. I am a musician and my band dances around on stage. Nothing like Soft Star Shoes for gigging! The REI portion will come in handy. My family is need of new camping gear! Thank you!

I would also share some great shoe love with my family. My husband is a fan of the Dash & our children wear Ramblers as their shoe of choice.
REI has great gear for home & away and the staff is very helpful.
