Cork is Here to Stay!
A few months ago, we introduced a special cork fabric for certain design-your-own shoes. The stylish material, lined with gold-speckled cork, worked well for the side panels of our Dash RunAmocs and for flower appliques on our youth and adult Merry Janes. We originally offered the cork option as a limited edition, available only until we ran out of the material.
It turns out that our fans really love the cork accents. We've been impressed with the beautiful, natural-looking shoes that have rolled through our shop, and requests to continuing offering cork have poured in.
We heard you!
We're now excited to offer cork as a regular design-your-own option. The material is too thin to be used on supportive parts of our shoes, but you can find it as an accent for our Dash RunAmocs and Merry Janes.

Martin is a lifelong runner who began wearing minimalist shoes over 10 years ago when he found they alleviated his chronic foot pain, which eventually disappeared completely. He further studied proper running form through a series of workshops taught by Correct Toes inventor, Dr. Ray McClanahan DPM. Martin has collaborated with several health care professionals to collect and share peer-reviewed studies that show the benefits of minimalist footwear. In his personal life, Martin loves living in the Pacific Northwest because it allows him to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities year-round, including hiking, cycling, rock climbing, surfing and snowboarding.
