"Why are most socks angled inward at the toe box when toes naturally want to point forward? Why not just make socks the same shape as feet?"

These simple questions led to the creation of Plus12 socks. Shaped like your feet, these wonderfully soft merino wool socks for children are shaped to allow your kid's big toe to stay in line with the rest of their foot. There is still plenty of wiggle room for the rest of your toes, too!

Combined with high-tech fibers, these merino wool kids mid-calf socks are breathable, fast drying, temperature regulating and luxuriously soft. This high-performance material is ideal for both warm and cool temperatures. Oeko-tex certified (ensures safety in textiles) and mulesing-free.

  • Content: 40% merino wool, 40% polypropylene, 18% polyamide, 2% elastane
  • Padding: smooth (light and airy)
  • Length: mid-calf

If your child's size is not an option then we recommend ordering the next size up for the best fit, and to allow for growing room.

Plus12 merino wool socks can be machine washed, but we recommend washing them inside-out using cold water on a delicate washer setting. To prevent damaging the wool fibers, do not bundle with clothes that contain zippers or rivets (such as jeans). For optimal care, wash in a mesh laundry bag.

After washing, stretch gently into shape and hang to dry.

    These are awesome - before getting these I was finding that my toddler’s toes were getting deformed from their normal structure and starting to grow more narrow from his previous socks - these have so much toe width and he likes the red dot on the big toe. Bonus- they are wool and don’t pick up odor so he can go a few uses between washes.

    My 6 year old son loves these socks!!! They are so easy for him to get on and so comfortable. He’s been wearing them for a year and he’s rough on all things (he is outside for hours on end). They hold up well, are merino (yay!), dry quickly, and are all around perfect. Weight is a bit heavy for summer - would love if Softstar also carried the cotton version of these for the warmer months.

    Wide toed kids love them

    My kids have quite wide toes, and they love these socks. They thought they looked sorta funny the first time they pulled them out of the cardboard holders, but they totally got it when they put them on. Now we have to slowly switch out all their old socks for these! Really soft fabric, seems tough, though. Not super lightweight, but not winter socks either. Good all around socks. As a parent, I think the red sizing dot on the heel is ingenious and a great addition.
