These simple questions led to the creation of Plus12 socks. Shaped like your feet, these wonderfully soft merino wool mid-calf socks are shaped to allow your big toe to stay in line with the rest of your foot. There is still plenty of wiggle room for the rest of your toes, too!

Combined with high-tech fibers, these merino wool socks are breathable, fast drying, temperature regulating and luxuriously soft. This high-performance material is ideal for both warm and cool temperatures. Oeko-tex certified (ensures safety in textiles) and mulesing-free.

Plus12 merino wool socks can be machine washed, but we recommend washing them inside-out using cold water on a delicate washer setting. To prevent damaging the wool fibers, do not bundle with clothes that contain zippers or rivets (such as jeans). For optimal care, wash in a mesh laundry bag.

After washing, stretch gently into shape and hang to dry.

    2nd purchase to get a couple more pairs of these Plus12 wool socks. I love that they have an anatomical shape and don't scrunch my toes. They are wool, so they handle moisture and don't build up a smell. These are very light and thin, which I also appreciate because I get too warm easily - especially when active. However, if you're looking for a warmer or more cushioned sock, you may want to consider other options. I'm generally not much of a sock person and these are one of the most comfortable and natural options that I've tried, so they have quickly become favorites for me. Please consider carrying more of Plus12's product line!

    Not Very Anatomical

    Wearing the socks for about a minute caused me pain. I love the idea of these socks but don’t think the actual design carries it out. The foot area of the sock is pretty much a rectangle with a rounded bottom (for the heel) and a straight slant at the top corner for the toes. This, however, does not remotely resemble a human foot. Although it MAY be better for the big toe, the straight edges of the socks go horribly with the natural curves of my feet and create a horrible misalignment of the socks once I put them on. Hence, it hurt. I recommend viewing an actual image of the socks and comparing them to your feet. You will see how there is no resemblance.

    It's nice to have a sensible alternative to toe sox that still give the benefit of not squishing toes together. There is plenty of room and these are the first socks I've had that let my toes feel free to move. The wool is nice too. I just wore these hiking in Kentucky in humid 92⁰F weather and had no issues with rubbing, bunching, blisters, or hot spots. My feet are always warm in boots, but the wool did not make them feel any hotter than usual, but did a much better job of managing moisture and smell than cotton, polyester, or nylon socks. I looked up Plus12 and I'm glad to see that they have a wider product range... please consider stocking more options of colors, lengths, or styles - especially anything low-cut/ankle cut.

    I love the Plus12 socks since they don't scrunch my toes like most socks do. I have bought some from you before (the stripey ones)- and wish you would stock more - like the midcalf and long ones for adults (men and women!).

    They are perfect for not squishing my toes together. I wear Altra wide toe box shoes, which are not cheap and most other socks render the shoes useless. These socks combined with the shoes let my toes splay and relax. No more corns and toe blisters! So nice to hike pain free.

    Really wanted to love these, but they are just not worth wasting your money on. WAY too many negatives about them. Too small & shrink: I ordered 1-2 sizes larger than my shoe size and washed and dryed on gentle/low and they STILL shrunk to ~3/4 of their original size. They were originally for a size 12 in Men's (in reality they fit like a size 9/10). Now they're for a size 5-7 in Men's. Will have to give to my wife. Material/elastic around the ankle is WAY too loose: The calf/leg part of the sock will fall down around your ankles. THIN: These are SUPER THIN. Not at all a high-quality sock and not worth the money. I can see them having holes in them after wearing 3 times. I love the concept, but it is really poorly and cheaply executed by Plus12. And I mean REALLY poorly and cheaply.

    Not my favorite socks. These Plus 12 socks still feel like they're squeezing my outer toes in. Would probably work really well for most feet, though! Injini toe socks work much better for my foot shape.
