Oregon's Greenest Workplaces for 2023
We are honored to announce that we have once again been named one of the 100 Best Green Workplaces in Oregon for 2023! Softstar has received this recognition every year since 2016, and we are so excited to be included in this competitive category again, ranking in 17th place! Oregon Business also recognized Softstar's recent B-Corp certification, commending Elf achievements in environmental, social and workforce commitments. It makes us so happy to see all of the other wonderful companies in Oregon working hard to promote sustainability and green workplace practices.
Sustainability has always been at the heart of Softstar, and walking lightly on the earth is one of our core values as a company. We strive to create a positive, healthy, happy work environment for all employees, and all of us elves embrace the eco-conscious values that have been built into the company. From the materials we use to the building we work in, we do our best to keep the health of the earth in mind through all aspects of the business!
Our new workshop has so many amazing eco-friendly additions, including radiant heat flooring, upcycled building materials, a permeable parking lot, and an employee carpool program. Anna joined the Softstar team in 2022 approximately a year after graduating from Oregon State University with a dual degree in Marketing and Management. She grew up on a local, rural farm and her passions include exploring the Oregon outdoors, traveling, sports, and playing instruments.
