Softstar Shoes Ranks Among "100 Best Companies to Work for in Oregon"
We were honored by Oregon Business this month to be voted one of the 100 Best Companies to Work for in Oregon!
Of course, this comes as no surprise to us. Between playdays, the ability to bring children to work, occasional trips to the amusement park and general everyday explosions of creativity in our workshop, we know we have a good deal here.
Softstar co-owners Tricia and Larkin attended the Oregon Business award ceremony last week and were impressed by the many other Oregon businesses that go out of their way to make their employees happy. It's inspiring to know that we live in a region where companies value their staff morale and find innovating ways to keep people motivated.
We were also privileged to be featured first in the official video for the awards:
Thanks to everyone for supporting us!

Martin is a lifelong runner who began wearing minimalist shoes over 10 years ago when he found they alleviated his chronic foot pain, which eventually disappeared completely. He further studied proper running form through a series of workshops taught by Correct Toes inventor, Dr. Ray McClanahan DPM. Martin has collaborated with several health care professionals to collect and share peer-reviewed studies that show the benefits of minimalist footwear. In his personal life, Martin loves living in the Pacific Northwest because it allows him to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities year-round, including hiking, cycling, rock climbing, surfing and snowboarding.
