More Than Meets the Eye: Tim's Handmade Transformers Shoes
Founder Elf Tim with grandson Sebi
Soft Star founder Tim has a lot of fun when he makes new shoes for himself. As we've shown you before, starting your own handcrafted shoe company gives one a lot of creative liberty (have you seen his recent Oregon State football shoes?). It's also a lot of fun for his grandson Sebi.
For his fourth birthday, Tim wanted to give Sebi an extra special treat. The little boy is now a huge Transformers fan, and the yellow character of Bumblebee is his favorite shape-shifting robot. After a little design work, it wasn't hard for Tim to transform a pair of our child Playtimes into  Bumblebee's automobile form—a yellow 2007 Camaro with stylish black racing stripes!
We had to keep it a secret until Sebi received his surprise gift, but now we can share with you the final product. Tell us what you think!
