Leather Scrap Quilt Ricky Nunn wins the "most efficient" and "biggest" use of scrap leather with his mosaic quilt. Made entirely from Soft Star Shoes leather scraps, the quilt measures 6 feet by 6 feet and weighs 15 lbs. Ricky made it on his home sewing machine - it took just 2 weeks of spare time to finish. Each piece is jigsawed together and then zigzag sewn to each other.

We have plenty of scrap leather for you, too. If you can pick it up locally - it is free. If you would like us to mail it to you - we just charge the cost of shipping. Let us know what you create!

Turns out this project was more of a blanket than a "quilt". The maker did not line the back of it, so the reverse of the project would look the same as the zigzag-stitched front, except it would have showed the unfinished suede side of the scraps. Best of luck with your own quilting adventures!
