Terms and Conditions effective 1/7/2008 - DROPSHIP INFORMAION
Dropshipping allows our partners with Internet shopping sites to offer a broad range of Soft Star products while carrying no inventory. You can offer all the Design-Your-Own and Vegan options to your customers. You can also choose to offer our in-stock products if you wish to manage your web pages more dynamically as we add and subtract products. Soft Star ships your product with your own marketing inserts, and handles the back-end of your returns and exchanges for you! Our turn-around is 1-4 business days to ship all custom design-your-own styles. It is an easy way for you to carry a broad line of products without the risk.
Effective February 1, 2008 Limited quantity CLOSEOUT shoes (after 3/14/08), Keepsake or clearance shoes are excluded from Dropship offerings. Please note we only dropship Soft Star Shoes... we do not offer dropship on other products we carry on our website such as accessories, shoe care, socks, or non-Soft Star footwear.

How does it work? Easy as 1...2...3!
1. You sell Soft Star products on your website to your customer at full price.
2. When you get an order, log in to www.softstarshoes.com with your dropship login and enter the order with your customer's shipping address. Your business credit card is charged only 75% of the retail price. That's it - no extra dropship fees~!
3. Within 1-2 days we ship the shoes directly to your end customer with your company inserts inside.
Thats it! You make a 25% commission for processing the order. Your customer gets great products and service that "looks like" it comes straight from you. We handle any exchanges or returns with the customer for you if needed. If the customer returns the shoes for credit, we credit your card within 0-3 days of getting the return, and immediately email you with the customer and transaction details so you can then contact your customer and issue their credit. In our experience about 8% of all dropship orders are exchanged for different sizes and less than 4% are returned, which is extremely low in the footwear business :-). We have been doing dropship for over 10 years and our partners love our great service.
Please note that Dropship accounts are only set up for companies that are established Internet retail outlets.
Marketing Material:
Feel free to use the photos on our website when creating your product listing on your site. Please provide us with your company logo so we can create marketing inserts which are included with each order. The marketing insert includes text which reads:
"If you have any questions, please contact (YOUR COMPANY'S CONTACT INFO). Unworn items in their original condition may be exchanged or returned up to 30 days after your purchase. Please send the shoes back to the manufacturer: Soft Star Shoes, 521 SW Second Street, #201, Corvallis, OR 97333 with a note identifying yourself as a customer of (YOUR COMPANY NAME) with above order number. (YOUR COMPANY NAME) will reimburse you once the shoes are received. If you wish to order another pair in a different size, please contact (YOUR COMPANY) to place a new order.
If you wish to develop your own inserts, you are welcome to mail us the inserts when you set up a dropship account - please make sure they incorporate the text above.
If your customer does not include $3.75 with their exchanges, your credit card will be charged $3.75 for each pair exchanged and re-shipped.
Account Details:
As a dropship partner, your website must feature a minimum of 4 current Soft Star Design-Your-Own products. A Minimum annual volume of 25 drop ship orders are expected to setup and maintain drop ship account status. Billing for dropship orders is done via your business credit card (VISA, MC). Orders are submitted via Internet, which allows for instant viewing of order history. Dropship orders should go directly to your end customer, not to your business - unless prior approval is given. If you prefer a different method for submitting orders (such as email), please call to discuss alternative options.
Account Setup:
To setup an account, please contact us at 1-866-763-2525. We will ask you to create and send us your own, personalized shipping inserts to include with your order. Your inserts can be any size or format, and must meet our return/exchange policy standards above. We will provide you with any marketing information or photos you need for your website or selling medium. You will also need to provide us:
1. The e-mail used to create your Soft Star account. (Click on the yellow "sign in here" link in our upper right-hand corner to create your account.)
2. Your credit card information for processing billing and returns
3. Your business tax id and state
3. Your URL - Then you are ready to go!
History:
Because you enter each order on our website, you will have immediate access to accurate and timely order and billing status via the web, as well as a record of all past orders. This also allows you to build a directory of customer names and addresses online for ease of shipping. If you have a different system in place, we would be happy to consider it if you have good projected volume.
Pricing:
For all Soft Star Shoes resold via Internet Retail Stores, partners must sell at or above manufacturer' suggested retail price (MSRP). We reserve the right to stop providing product to any partners not following pricing guidelines. As such, you must provide all pricing information transparently on your web site in order to be eligible for dropship rates. (e.g., you cannot simply say "call for details"). Dropship discount will not be given on sale items, or non-shoe items.
Returns / Exchanges:
One of the biggest benefits of dropshipping is that you don't ever have to handle the merchandise! Customers send returns/exchanges directly to us, and we just bill you for differences in price or credit you for returns. We email you with all details so you can contact your customer to issue return credits when needed. You still own the customer-facing piece, and we own the fufillment.
Shipping Information:
We ship all shoes within 1-4 working days for custom "Design Your Own" shoes. Soft Star will ship internationally. For drop ship orders, we will notify you via email when each order has shipped. Please see the website shopping cart for shipping rates.
