All of our baby and toddler styles are designed to be soft and flexible, with plenty of room for little toes to spread out and move naturally. Remember that all Softstar shoes are made from soft, eco-friendly leather and lightweight, flexible soles for healthy foot development. For children in particular, this is important as the bones in their feet are still forming and not fully ossified until ages 9-11. We believe shoes should provide protection from the elements while doing their best to mimic barefoot conditions.

Features	Our signature moccasin, and suitable for all ages from 0-99! Roos feature lush sheepskin insoles, suede outersoles and natural leather uppers to allow our most unrestricted barefoot-like movement. Cozy to wear around the house and preferred by schools that require soft-soled classroom shoes. Also recommended for encouraging healthy foot development in early walkers.	Like Roos, Scout moccasins allow a maximum range of flexibility for free movement. Scouts feature a suede insole and outersole with a thin memory foam midsole. Great for keeping feet cool on hot days.	A slip-on style similar to our moccasins, but made with a rubber outersole for enhanced durability. Softstar was created when our founder Tim Oliver couldn't find healthy minimal shoes for his baby girl and decided to make his own. That tradition continues today with our wide selection of thin and flexible baby shoes, all handcrafted in our Oregon workshop.
